St Nicholas Church is a beautiful and classic example of High Barque architecture which dominates the Mala Strana which clusters around the foot of Prague Castle. The combination of this delightful early 18th century building’s vast green cupola with the slender bell tower is one of the numerous outstanding architectural contrasts that mark the Prague skyline. There are many striking statues and frescoes housed inside the church, including Johann Kracker's 1770 Life of St Nicholas which is the largest fresco in Europe.
